The Opportunity:


Maintenance Technicians/Millwrights are responsible for the maintenance, repair, installation & modification of all sawmill related equipment to safely maximize uptime, quality and productivity.

Responsibilities:



  • Troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical equipment to help meet production goals

  • Troubleshoot and maintain three (3) phase electrical systems

  • Diagnose cause of electrical and/or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and perform preventive and corrective maintenance

  • Effectively resolve production problems in a timely manner

  • Troubleshoot low voltage systems

  • Assemble and test experimental motor control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings, solenoids and other electrical equipment and components

Required Skills:



  • Minimum 3-5 years of industrial maintenance and electrical experience

  • Maintenance/Mechatronics and/or Electrician Technician certificate or diploma considered an asset

  • Superior troubleshooting skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Solid background in heavy industry and construction

  • A working knowledge in PLC's considered an asset

  • Knowledge of the lumber manufacturing process is an asset as well as experience with welding procedures and equipment reliability

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
